Here’s How We Can Help You

I have a lot of folks who approach me and ask what the process is and how it works. They may be interested in reducing their investment expenses, pursuing stronger risk-adjusted returns, or reducing tax drag. Maybe they saw me speaking live at an event, saw a video on YouTube that I produced, or were referred by an existing “evangelical” client (I love those). I always tell people it’s super casual on the initial consult. Just come in with questions ready, relax and enjoy our spectacular office and attentive staff. We’ve invested a lot of money in our office and our team to provide our client family with a top-notch experience. We want you to feel welcomed, relaxed and appreciated. We aren’t going to get overly technical during the initial sit-down. The first meeting is sitting down and interviewing each other, almost like dating. We’re really just getting to know each other and see if we vibe. I like to figure out where the client is now and have a conversation about what is important to them. What planning have they done to this point? What do they like or not like about their current situation? I like to understand what keeps them up at night.

I want to know what their dangers are. We talk a lot about dangers, opportunities, and strengths. The dangers-What’s the 2:00 AM question that’s keeping them up at night? What opportunities are they excited about? What’s working well that we can focus on and build upon? We’re looking at the dangers, opportunities, and strengths of every client or potential client we meet with. I like to ask good questions and graciously listen. But the first meeting is really just a relaxed style. Let’s get to know each other type of thing, and then the prospective client gets to decide if they would like to continue the conversation or not.
